History of Engineering Faculty of Paktia University

Engineering faculty of Paktia University is one of the most prestigious institutions for higher studies in the country. About 500 students are pursuing undergraduate study in engineering in 2015. Engineering Faculty of Paktia University has Civil Engineering Department, Architecture engineering Department, Electrical Engineering Department, and Mechanical Engineering Departments. Every year the intake of undergraduate students is around 150, and will be increased further. A total of about 16 teachers are teaching in this Engineering faculty.

The Engineering faculty of Paktia University’s campus is in the heart of Gardez City. The faculty’s building has enough academic classes, conference room, IT center, laboratory, and library.

Engineering Faculty of Paktia University is the new faculty at university which was established in 2010 when Aryana University was transferred from Peshawar, Pakistan to Paktia, Afghanistan by the special decree of former president Hamid Karzai. Engineering faculty of Paktia University offers four-year bachelor’s degrees in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering and Five-year bachelor’s degree in Architecture Engineering.

Till start of 2015, it has produced around 200 graduates in Civil Engineering, and has established a good reputation in the region for the quality of its graduates, many of whom have excelled in their profession in different parts of the country.
