Introduction to the Faculty of Economics
The Faculty of Economics was established in the year 1392 with the Department of Administration and Entrepreneurship within the framework of Paktia University, and in the beginning of the year 1393, it attracted students who passed the entrance exam for the first time. In the year 1394, the department of finance and banking was also invented in the said faculty.
In the Faculty of Economics, on an average, about 500 students are taught and trained at the undergraduate level by ten academic staffs in two departments. Also, a new teacher has been appointed for the year 1402, whose appointment is still ongoing. In addition to the formation of academic staff, the faculty of economics, teaching general management, executive management and service workers and night watchmen are also in their formation.
The Faculty of Economics has signed cooperation agreements with five government and private institutions such as Mustofit, Customs, Afghan National Bank, Jahan Institute of Higher Education, Department of Economics and Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the purpose of conducting practical training for students. .
For the better development of affairs, the Faculty of Economics currently has (9) nine active committees.
So far, the Faculty of Economics has graduated 1008 students in the last eight graduation cycles to serve the society.

Objectives of the Faculty of Economics
- Improving the quality of education; In the next five years, the faculty should establish at least five more partnerships at the national and international level in addition to the previous five partnerships.
- Academic tours
- Hiring 8 people in the cadre and 4 people in the administrative part.
- Creating two new departments, thus bringing the number of departments to 4;
- Provision of academic tours for capacity building
- Inducting five professors into the doctoral program and five professors into the master's program.
- To increase the current number of teachers (11) to 29 with the creation of new departments in the next five years.
- Equipping faculty classrooms with LCD and Sound systems
- Inventing a well-equipped computer lab
- Inventing an evening program in the Department of Administration and Entrepreneurship
- The English language of Aceh is the medium of education and on the other hand, the proposal of the faculty to gradually change the teaching language to English language has been approved by the academic council of the university, therefore, 50% of the teaching language will be changed to English language in the next five years. .
- Increasing the quantity and quality of existing research, increasing the number of research projects and articles by three times.
- Starting and expanding activities and services on the website and Facebook in addition to a tube, twitter and other internet networks and in addition to using it in creating foreign academic relations and partnerships.
- Starting the E-learning process, preparing video and short lectures, conferences and advertisements, and publishing them on the faculty's Internet addresses, joining the e-learning market.
- Preventing any kind of corruption, prejudice and discrimination;
- The first position at the Paktia University level and the top five of all economic faculties of the country at the national level.
