The Academic Council's meeting was held under the leadership of Muhammad Naeem Wisal, the Vice-chancellor for Students Affairs of Paktia University. The participants of the meeting were Vice-chancellors of the University, Deans of faculties, Heads of Departments, and lecturers. Ordinarily, the meeting has been started with recitation of Holly Quran by Malawi Muhammad Khan Rohani. After that, Muhammad Naeem Wisal welcomed the participants and expressed wishes for them to be successful in their jobs. He requested from lecturers to increase all of the activities which are conducted in academic field and never repudiate their efforts in educating youths. 

According to agenda, the issues have been discussed such as, coordinating of Departments' affairs and recruiting and promotion of lecturers. Also, some other issues have been discussed further and final decision has been made.
