History
For well-being and development of the society, knowledge and education is compulsory; in this regard, people could live conveniently, and their basic rights would be assured. Also, in a sound society, the administrations can pursue well, and professionals could be produced fairly. Thus, universities and academic centers have significant roles for achieving these goals. The universities would be successful in achieving their goals when they have effective plans. Creating plans and policies and making students to make viable policies for the country is also an important goal. To discipline a society and protect it from chaotic situation, it is essential to have sound and quality managers, wise politicians, law-abiding jurists, prosecutors, and judges; thus, universities are the places to gain these expertise. For this purpose, the Law and Political Science Faculty of Paktia University have been educating bachelor-level professionals based on rules and principles of Ministry of Higher Education in two fields: Administration & Diplomacy and Judgement & Prosecution; thus, the Faculty aims to get the results by developing the political, legal, judicial, and administrative organs and by ensuring law enforcement through educating of professionals having high sense of patriotism. Vision
The Law and Political Science Faculty expects its spot to be a credible faculty at national and regional level in the next. For the sake of service, it aims to present scholars to the country, region and world who are educated in various disciplines such as, academic, legal, judicial, political and diplomatic aspects without prejudice: language, nation, ethnicity, religion, gender, and region.
Mission
The Law and Political Science Faculty is strongly committed to serve this desperate nation and country by presenting professionals who are educated in various disciplines such as academic, legal, judicial, political and diplomatic aspects.
Historical Background of the Faculty
The Faculty of Law and Political Science was established in 1390 under the umbrella of Paktia University based on the need of the country and region. This Faculty has gone through several stages and has developed considerably since the time of inception.Currently, this Faculty consist of two departments: Administration & Dipolmacy Department and Judgment & Prosecusion Department. The Faculty trains boys and girls in its two departments. By 1397, this Faculty has presented five round gratutes which were a total of 387 in numbers. As this Faculty is a young one in Paktia University, the teaching was pursued by the lecturers of Law and Political Science Faculty of Sheikh Zayed University together with the contracted teachers of Paktia University, at the first. However, the lecturers were recruited afterwards who were graduates of Law and Political Science field of the various universities in order to fulfill the needs of the Faculty. Fortunately, this Faculty has master-level lecturers in current time who are pursuing the teaching career effectively. Alongside, the Faculty is administered efficiently by the administrative officials.
