Mission and Vision of the education faculty
Vision
The Faculty's vision is to cultivate passionate, engaged, knowledgeable, effective, and compassionate teachers, researchers, and leaders who are critical thinkers and agents of hope, change, and social justice. This vision is achieved through the practice of humanizing pedagogies, the establishment of collaborative partnerships with relevant stakeholders, the creative use of future-oriented technologies, and the integration of the classroom with the world and vice versa.
Mission
The Faculty's mission statement is a collaborative effort of its members, representing their shared values and beliefs. As the community grows and evolves, the mission statement is seen as a living document that continues to evolve. The faculty's mission is to provide professional and specialized education to society, thereby reducing the educational needs and contributing to the transparency of the society through training of students and research development of teachers utilizing modern methods. The full mission of the Faculty of Education is focused on recruitment and the provision of qualified staff to meet the educational needs of the society.
Values
The Faculty of Education has a multi-faceted approach to enhancing the capacity for learning within the countries of the Commonwealth.
- This includes working with national policy-makers, school leaders, and academics to directly impact policy and practice in classrooms, schools, networks, and policy contexts.
- The faculty also identifies centers of best practice in primary and secondary education in Commonwealth countries and distills the essence of such practices to derive key principles that can travel across geographical and cultural boundaries.
- The faculty collaborates within and across countries to test and apply principles of practice, thereby sharing a stronger theoretical grounding of what constitutes 'good' practice.
- Additionally, the faculty works in collaboration with groups and communities in the informal educational sector, drawing on their experience to develop initiatives and strategies designed to improve the quality of education for vulnerable youth and marginalized groups.
- The faculty prioritizes policy and practice informed by research that is context-specific and adapted to locally based needs.
Policy
To achieve its objectives, the Faculty of Education has set out a policy that aims:
- to create a high-quality and rich educational center for students based on the new international credit system.
- This policy includes the compilation of textbooks according to the prescribed syllabus for various departments in accordance with the international credit system.
- The faculty also aims to train professional and specialized staff at the undergraduate level for the country's educational institutions, faculties of education, teachers, and schools.
- At the national level, the faculty aims to train students in the spirit of Islam, country, brotherhood, unity, respect, sharing, andheart. Additionally, the faculty aims to provide professional and specialized teachers and professors equipped with an Islamic spirit to the society at the national level.
Objectives
The Faculty of Education has a set of objectives that it is committed to achieving.
- developing the professional and scientific level of staff in the field of education and introducing them to modern educational trends;
- preparing specialists and leaders in various educational fields;
- conducting research and studies in various fields of specialization in the university;
- providing technical advice to various educational institutions, and publishing the results of research and studies:
- contributing to the development of educational thought and the dissemination of modern educational trends and their applications in solving the problems of societies;
- exchanging experiences and information with local and international education institutions;
- preparing secondary school graduates and graduates of various universities and colleges for the teaching profession; and
- employing modern technological means to serve students and faculty members to achieve its objectives.
